When we begin working with new auto body shop clients at Stratosphere Studio, blogging is a major priority because it has proven to be an extremely successful marketing strategy. So, understandably, one of the first questions we tend to hear from our new clients is, “When will we see results?” As with any business relationship, we want to deliver impressive results as quickly as possible. However, blogging can take some time to pay off. When it does, though, all of our auto body shop clients are pleased with the increased number of website visitors, leads, and business that blogging brings them.
If you’re interested in blogging for your auto body shop, here is what you need to know about the amount of time it takes to see results:
· Frequency plays a role. If you only blog every once in a while, you aren’t going to have much success. Instead, post at least one blog per week. The more consistent you are in posting blogs, the better. If you can write even more frequently, then you will see an even greater payoff.
· Quality is very important. Quick 1-paragraph blogs aren’t really going to get you anywhere. When you craft your content, address important questions that your customers often have. Write detailed, thoughtful, helpful posts that people will actively seek out on Google or link to on other blogs. You want to turn your website into a valuable resource for potential customers with auto body work questions.
· Keywords do matter…for the most part. While not the most important thing for you to focus on, keywords can play a role in your success. However, if you put your energy into crafting excellent, useful content, the right keywords often fall into place. Consider using your blog titles to phrase questions in such a way that they might match what people type into search engines. That’s a great way of helping people to find your content.
· Use social media to your advantage. Be sure to promote every blog post you write on the social media outlets you participate in. This is an excellent way to let your blog posts gain popularity virally.
The timeframe for results:
Depending on how well you achieve the above factors, you will likely start to see results in your website analytics after three months. However, you typically won’t see an increase in your auto body shop business until after six months. Six months is a standard rule of thumb for most marketing professionals who are honest about results.
